Tommy Four Seven Recorded Live Set – 3/3/12

Berlin-based Tommy Four Seven probably has the best sounds in techno, proper caring about every single hit on his plates to create raw but perfectly balanced soundscapes.

On this tip you need to check out the full length Primate, and all (yes ALL) of the 12″ releases that came off of it, which included remixes mostly done by stellar cast of CLR family. Partially violating in his sonic creations done from field recordings, T47 perfectly encapsulates the brutal underbelly of techno, the underground that in some respects gives a straight middle finger to the his contemporaries trying to recreate the analogue sounds and structures that crafted the genre with plug-ins and cheap structuring.

This afternoon we took the opportunity on our NTS show to briefly mention his amazing catalogue and lack of airplay it receives, while also lamenting missing the show on Saturday night. If you missed hearing about it, T47 played alongside Chris Liebing and Brian Sanhaji among other CLR roster, taking over a warehouse location for Hub Studios / LWE party.

Thankfully, having heard this on-air, a member of our electronic community took it upon herself or himself to forward on a link to the set we missed, recorded on the night and uploaded under a day ago. Streamed below via Mixcloud, you can get hit up a download link here.

Big ups to all those involved from the promoters to CLR and the man Tommy Four Seven of course,
