Special Request Lovebox Afterparty / Andy Blake ‘Mystery Mix’

Having launched with a pretty amazing night last month, Special Request are coming together live once more at ? Bar for a Lovebox after party. This prompts me to care about the actual day even less if I’m being honest, it’s all about the after-party. Now evolved in to a beast of a user-run group, Special Request is bringing out the underground’s ever-lasting love of proper house and garage; it’s a daily education, best get involved.

Full lineup for the night below with all the necessary info, make sure you don’t miss residents TK and Semtek on decks.

For our second Special Request event we have two of London’s best underground selectors squaring up over the 1s and 2s. Scott Fraser may be an unfamiliar name, but his discography is distinguished, boasting releases on Black Nation, Astro:Lab and World Unknown. Fools is one of the great minds behind the Rhythm Talk parties which remain word of mouth and in high demand. Representing Special Request we have Louis ‘Hypercook’ Cook and TK alongside Semtek.

The facebook group continues to grow. If you haven’t checked it out, GET INVOLVED! Members are now £3 all night, if you need a membership card just send us your postal address and we will dispatch post haste.

Incidentally Semtek and headliner Scott Fraser are both featuring on our next release, with Scott serving up a 12 minute remix of Semtek’sBento‘ to compliment the original appearing on the A-side of the 12″. It’s dropping the middle of June, limited styles with stamped artwork, previews below.

In the lead up to the night, the Special Request crew have also delivered a mix from the don that is Andy Blake. ‘Mystery mix’ means no tracklisting, just a selection of Andy’s vinyl weapons with heads encouraged to ID the tunes themselves. Downloadable below, 50 minutes of proper vinyl pushing, big ups!
