Close to eight months since Episode 1 kicked off and almost five months since the New Years Eve session of Episode 2 was recorded I present Episode 3 of All My Records. Horrible title, please send through any suggestions for a new one.
Shelf one is still throwing up loads of great hip-hop. More Tres Records drops with 12’s from Giant Panda and Johnson&Jonson, golden-era joints from Nas, The Pharcyde, Large Professor, De La Soul, Pete Rock & CL Smooth and Digable Planets who also represent something left of the usual alongside DJ Shadow. Newer school legends Black Milk, Common, Atmosphere, Dilla aka Jay Dee, Apathy & Celph Titled and then some unexpected goodness from Abstract Tribe Unique and APSCI.
The records are good. In the words of Comic Book Guy – “Life well spent.” (New title perhaps?)
