Prop4g4nd4 Flyer Designs

I was recently able to put a name to a style, being turned on to Prop4g4nd4 aka Propaganda, who’s Picasso-esque inspiration is instantly recognisable from flyers and vectors over the last few years. To be fair, it’s a love or hate relationship with his designs, and his home page is a somewhat addictive source of unique imagery.

Earlier this year he was hosted at the IFA gallery in Greece for a poster exhibition, and in 2009 was not only invited to give a presentation at the 6th Panorama Design, but also took out the EBGE Award in the category of posters/billboards for a design of Larry Heard, as well as the award for general illustration for an interpretation of Laptop City.

I can’t quite remember the artist or LPs off the top of my head, but something in the man’s style definitely makes me think of Latin renaissance albums from the 60s and 70s.

For the full collection of his work head on over to http://www.prop4g4nd4.com/, but in the meantime here’s a few of my favourites. Click through for the larger versions.
