As well as the usual mixture of experimental electronics and soundscapes – led by the likes of Nad Spiro and Constellation Botsu – we ventured in the rarely touched territory for the show, launching off in to bandspace for a decent period of time. Swans, Tarwater and Rhyton all make an appearance, as does a bit of live jazz from the late great Jaco Pastorius, coming off the back of Michael Valentine West.
We also visited a load of lo-fi house joints from the likes of PMM & Tuff Sherm who have a new split cassette out, The Cyclist and D. Tiffany. The Multiply LP from Duppy Gun Productions reared it’s head again, and just keeps getting better.
Stoked to have discovered Horse Lords (pictured above) out of Baltimore recently, featuring two cuts from their Hidden Cities LP on NNA Tapes. Grab that plate while you can, it’s absolutely cracking.
