NTS Awkward Movements Show – 3.7.14

Archive and track listing below for the last Awkward Movements show on NTS Radio, and a wicked one it was too. Apologies for the delay in getting this out there, it’s been a hectic couple of weeks, but well worth the wait in this case.

Paul Acroyd aka Kamikaze brought out some stunning records from all over the world, and even ventured past Dolphins Into The Future (pictured above) tracks an in to a brief natural history lesson on how dolphins make sound. A few favourites from previous sessions and a load of new joints made it in to the two hour session, including multiple journeys in to African music, middle-eastern field recordings, a touch of dub and the obligatory stopover in Bryn Jones aka Muslimgauze territory.

The finest in new electronics was also represented with D/P/I, CPI, Death Grips working with Bjork, and Sully also working their way in. Big session, some of the best radio we’ve had in time.

Stream the show below or get in touch for the download link. Myself hosting the next show, going out via NTS airwaves this Wednesday / Thursday night, and we’ll probably be balancing it out by going deep in to electronics. Get locked, look forward to catching you then.
