NKC Track Giveaway via XLR8R – ‘Radar’ feat F. Reece

A one time secret-weapon of NKC and associates, Radar is a big track, the first offering we’ve had from NKC featuring live vocals. Due to organ sampled we’ve not been able to press it, but it’s definitely a tune that needs to be out-there. As well as announcing our sixth release and second 12″ with NKC, our friends at XLR8R are also linking up the world with the 320 download for Radar.

We’ll be bombing up the full previews and as always info on the design behind it in the coming days, but in the meantime you can check out the four track previews and download a free track from NKC here.

Courtesy of the Awkward Movements stable in London, here’s a funky and classic-sounding number from 20-year-old producer NKC. This unreleased tune precedes the artist’s new Afrobeat-tinged EP for the label, Fading Floor/Shockout, which is out on May 7 and features remixes by Maddslinky and Raimo. “Radar” didn’t make it onto that EP, but is nonetheless a driving dancefloor number that settles its groove on a laid-back organ sample, all while utilizing vocals from young Welsh folk artist F. Reece. A secret weapon of sorts, this one boasts similarities to the feminine UK funky stylings of Cooly G and, more recently, Champion and Ruby Lee Ryder’s anthem “Sensitivity.” You can preview the new NKC four-tracker after the jump.

We’re expecting the first press to go quite quickly, pre-order’s are now available from Bleep, for those that don’t want to wait: https://bleep.com/release/35985
