Mike Corbett aka Maccy is a proper hip-hop don, with whom I had the pleasure of living with many years back in a (chaotic) share-house in Australia. During this time he opened up a whole new level of music appreciation for me, from digging in the crates for jazz to beat production, to his late night freestyle sessions and history lessons on wax.
And whilst his epic t-shirt, tape and toy collections are gold dust in themselves, it’s all about the collectable skateboard decks this time around. Out of the 12 below Maccy D’s even commissioned one himself from artist Mark Drew, a collection of his favourite album cassettes stacked on top of each other.
As well as sending through these photos, he’s been working out a mix for Awkward Movements Sessions (supposedly), that we hope will drop before we get old(er).
