I don’t know a lot about this hook-up, as the guys behind it have managed to keep it quite hush. From what I understand though, Black Atlantic is the joint force of some of our favourite promoters, though whether as a one off or a permanent move I’m not too sure. I do know RBMA are involved to some degree, which is always a good sign.
Three of London’s best electronic music promoters join forces for a series of events in one-off spaces, warehouses and the capital’s leading clubs, starting 2011.
They’ve gone ahead and posted up some dope events involving Daedalus, Larry Heard, Juan Atkins and Moodymann headlining, that we’ll be covering as they come around. The first event however, is kicking off proceedings tonight and quite possibly the illest out of all five.
4/4 ambassador and deep house originator Kerri Chandler is headlining and by no coincidence everyone else on the lineup is equally dope and possibly even hotter. Firecracker Records family Linkwood is going to be there dropping his own unique take on house and boogie – and on that tip be sure to watch this space for when he launches his new label sooner than later. Also joining is Hessle Audio co-founder Ben UFO as well as Hoya:Hoya selector Krystal Klear, who’s continuing to get name dropped by pretty much everyone as one of the most on-point DJs and producers at the moment.
