Kamikaze vs Planet Of Sound – Moon Landing Edition

Breaking a bit of a spell of silence Kamikaze aka Paul Ackroyd teamed up with Kevin Robinson for some sonic exploration dedicated to the Apollo 11 moon landing. Three hours hardly seems enough in this case.

Quick side note, the above picture is taken from Jack White’s Third Man Records playing vinyl in space in 2016.

To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 Moon Landing, an action-packed 3hr space marathon from Planet of Sound and Kamikaze on Reel Rebels Radio.

Tune in for a load of spacefunk, cosmic disco, intergalactic techno, lunar dub, extra terrestrial electro, and interstellar noodlings.

We look at the ace moon feature in the new edition of Electronic Sound magazine, and Hannah Peel speaks about her new 7″ which accompanies the mag.

We also take a look back at another recent space-themed copy of Electronic Sound – their Top 50 Greatest Space Records feature, as well as playing a bunch of space records that would certainly be in our Top 50.

All that aside, you’ll hear a bunch of tracks about the space race, space travel and the moon, spot some UFOs, we’ll be passing through some constellations and stars, exploring some complicated space science, and going on an interplanetary journey through the solar system, with a tune for each planet.

Space is the place!! x
