It was tragic news to hear of the passing of Trish Keenan on the 14th of January. Talking to people about it, I’m genuinely impressed by the stories they recall of seeing Broadcast live at some dingy venue or another, talking of a uniquely moving performance imprinted in their memory. I regret I never took the opportunity to see them in person myself.

It’s with great sadness that I have put these shows together. Trish Keenan of Broadcast died of pneumonia on 14th January 2011, and I shall miss her dearly. I have been buying Broadcast’s records for 15 years, and haven’t missed a single release. Each and every one of them I treasure, and in my eyes Broadcast were the perfect band. My thoughts go out to her friends and family. Rest in peace Trish, you were one of a kind…
