Might be grossly overestimating the appeal here, but comic books have re-entered culture with full force through movies and I don’t think you even need to be a comic-book fan to appreciate this epic teaser. Spotted on an IGN last week, star DC Comics writer and Chief Creative Officer Geoff Johns uploaded this video teaser for a forthcoming story arc Justice League: Trinity War.
No real back information needed from us – the video below explains it all. Even if you don’t think you’re in to this take a minute to watch it and prepare to be swayed.
Proper badass. The thing that really grabbed me was Martin Manhunter looking more brutal than ever, ready to potentially rip someone apart.
In the personal war between comics and records (who can afford both?) it was the superheroes that lost out years back, but this is enough to send me back down to the graphic novel store on the weekly basis for a temporary time at least. Death of a hero at the betrayal of another, Justice League v Justice League of America v Dark Justice League, the whole thing organised by super-villains – this is writing at it’s finest.
