B.O.M.B. @ Cafe 1001 [LDN 26.6.12]

Happening Thursday night, at the great Cafe 1001, our man Raynulds is holding it down as part of the B.O.M.B. night. Raynulds is a badman on decks, as you’ll already be aware if you catch his Sub.fm shows and Awkward Movements Sessions offerings (latest of which you can stream below), and if you’ve not seen him spin live I recommend checking it out.

Cafe 1001 is up there with legendary London venues, having been a regular haunt of nearly every DJ coming up through East London at some point. I was among the masses years back that would filter in there Sunday morning straight from a party the night before. Pull up a cushion, get some hot chocolate and recover in real time while Layo or someone played tunes in the main room. It was pure vibes.

Thankfully Cafe 1001 has, for the most part, retained the quality of nights and trust in a venue us public deserve. It may be more laptops than before (free wifi) but it’s still a wicked space. Content is also guesting with regulars Syte and Don Luigi in attendance as always. Head down tomorrow night, from 7pm onwards to about 12, they’ll be playing proper bass in the upstairs room out the back, Funktion-One system and everything.
