The second hour of a massive show from Kamikaze DJs, closing off Awkward Movements Sessions #12 for us. In other news residencies for the back end of 2010 and the new year are so close to confirmation we can taste it – looking forward to the next couple of months. Also Ray Nulds has been in the stores buying up new joints for another show on the back of this one – and I’ll be dropping Dodger Man‘s Golden Years of Dubstep mix in a show in the coming weeks.
Part Two of Awkward Movements Sessions #12 carries on pretty much where it left off in Part One, with a huge pile of experimental nonsense and dancefloor smashers. There’s a fair few garagey offerings from Pariah, MJ Cole, Falty DL, and Ramadanman & Midland. Also plenty more experimental beats and sounds from The Books, Kemialliset Ystavat, Oneohtrix Point Never, Salem, James Blake, Flying Lotus, and Max Richter. And to open this section of the show, a very welcome repress of Erik & Fiedel’s classic tune Donna. And if all that weren’t enough, we’re very proud to present the second slab of vinyl from the Awkward Movements label, Dodger Man’s Mango Tree.
