Something special for Awkward Movement Sessions – an hour-long guest mix from Sydney based DJ / producer First Grandson. I was fortunate to be in Australia earlier in the year, witness to some of the underground’s buzz on his work, which, going off his offering here, is more than deserved.
‘Deep N Bass‘ is an appropriate title as First Grandson aka DJ A.L.F. aka Alf Nguyen‘s 70 minute selection takes on a life of it’s own. Striking the perfect measurements between teched-out bassline and drum ‘n’ bass, it’s an incredibly crafted lesson in the art of record mixing.
