Weekend listening for those that missed it first time around, Awkward Movements on NTS from last week featuring loads of good records and too loud vocals (apologies for that, couldn’t hear myself).
I’ve been getting stuck in to the Versatile Records catalogue of late off the back of I:Cube’s new record – which is crazy good – and also featured a group by the name of The Explosion as well as Jonathan Fitoussi and Clemens Hourriere early on in the show.
Nicolas Jaar’s digital subscription label Other People continues to pleasantly surprise, this time around with Afrika Bambaataa under an old alias of I.F.O., featuring Afrika Bambaata on the track…go figure, but it sounds dope.
Dropped a couple of cassettes including something from the incredible Joanne Skyler remix cassette, the new release on the Aught label and a couple of tracks from the DJ Boneyard release that we’ve been rinsing on our end.
