All My Records Episode 9

All My Records Episode 9

The brutal realisation that I wouldn’t play most of my record collection again before I die prompted me to start doing All My Records. As the name suggests this is is me playing all my records by order that they’ve ended up in my shelves: left to right, top to bottom, in the order they’re currently sitting. Single deck show, one off and one on, ladened with unnecessary reminiscing about when and why I bought them and talking crap. It’s remarkably therapeutic, I recommend you try it.

All My Records episode 9 here and I’m pleased (but a little sad) to say it’s the completion of a second Expedit shelf. Both Avalanches records kick us off followed by some whites from Tokimonsta and Kelpe, a killer (and greatly underrated) LP from DJ Buzz, with two LPs on the Project Mooncircle label appearing courtesy of 40 Winks and Mr Cooper (though somehow the latter got left off the photoshoot).

Instrumental plates from Madlib and Flying Lotus both of who’s instrumental workings with Declaime aka Dudley Perkins we played through. Paul White and Dam Mantle take us through to a run of Wild Style related records before we close it off with triple LP Beat Dimensions Vol. 2. Couldn’t resist playing joints from Dizz-1, Dalt Wisney and Busy.

Forgot to mention while recording that the bonus 7″ that comes with Beat Dimensions Vol. 2 actually has the labels the wrong way round – side ‘G’ is ‘H’ and ‘H’ is ‘G’.

18 records make up about 25 tracks in all across almost two hours.

Hope you enjoy as much as I did.
